World Book Night Author Meet & Greet - Thursday 23rd April 2026

£0.00

Thursday 23rd April 2026, 7:30 - 8:30pm

As well as 2026 being the National Year of Reading, Thursday 23rd April marks World Book Night, which celebrates books and encourages reading for all.

Falling within the #ReadingHour for World Book Night, local author Anna Byk will be joining us to talk about her debut novel, 'It's Never Really Over’. Partially set in Warwickshire, it focuses on 5 women and their stories, all linked either knowingly or not, with references to Stratford Upon Avon and Shakespeare as well as other local landmarks.  Anna will also discuss her writing and publishing journey, which will be a perfect intro for any budding authors out there.  The evening will conclude with a Q&A session and an opportunity to buy a signed copy of Anna's book.

It is also UNESCO International Day of the Book , chosen in honour of the day that Shakespeare and Cervantes passed in 1616 (also rumoured to be Shakespeare's birthday) - a very auspicious day in literature which we would love you to celebrate with us!

This is a free event but places are limited to keep the event intimate, so please do go ahead and click the ‘Book Events’ link so that we know how many people to expect.

You are of course welcome to order from our kitchen before or during the event, but please note that last orders are at 8pm. If you’d like to book a table for dinner before hand, please drop us a note on bookings@thefleur.co.uk.
