reservations

  • Bookings are very much encouraged if you would like to join us for indoor dining. You can book online on our Contact Page.
  • We do not take reservations outside. You do not need a booking to visit us externally. Tables are first come, first served.
  • Please wait at the Welcome Desk in the main porch on arrival to be seated.
  • There is usually a two hour time limit on tables during busy periods.
  • Please let us know in advance if you would like to include a dog in your booking. Dogs are allowed in the lower bar but will, out of necessity, need to be walked through the main part of the pub on a lead to reach the dog-friendly area. Dogs are always very welcome in the garden though, but please keep them on a lead.
  • We will endeavour to honour requests to sit at specific tables, but this is not always possible unless you have a mobility issue (in which case please contact us directly to let us know).

  • On busy days when the sun is out and the pub is at its most picturesque we tend to get pretty packed. As a result, there can often be a waiting time on food as our kitchen team sprint around trying to serve the hungry masses, so please be patient with us.

  • If you require a high chair then do just let us know so that we can accommodate our youngest diners!

  • For those with mobility issues, we recommend a table in our top room where there are fewer steps to contend with. Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, we do not currently have disabled toilet facilities.
