Local Attractions

Stoke Sub Hamdon is ideally situated for tourists and business men alike being close to the A303 and M5. The busy town of Yeovil is only 10 minutes away.

Within a 30 minute drive lies the stunning Dorset coastline dotted with quaint villages and traditional seaside towns such as Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Weymouth which are all just half an hour or less away.

Stoke Sub Hamdon is steeped in history and home to several sites of special interest.
Walkers, particularly will find Ham Hill, an Iron Age and Roman Fort, a fascinating and peaceful location, with its spectacular views of the Somerset landscape.

Tourist Attractions

Montacute House - Magnificent Elizabethan stone-built house, incorporating National Portrait Gallery exhibition, garden and park.

Stoke Sub Hamdon Priory - The priests who lived here served the Chapel of St Nicholas (now destroyed). The Great Hall is open to visitors.

Ham Hill - An Iron Age Hill Fort.

Fleet Air Arm Museum - One of the world's largest aviation museums with over 90 aircraft in the collection on display including Concorde 002.

Haynes Motor Museum - Amongst the largest in Europe, with an impressive international collection ranging from 1886 to the present day.
