New landlords (arrived 4th June) Kaz & Tony would like to thank the villages of Stoke and around for their very warm welcome.

We both look forward to seeing you soon at the Fleur - "the inn under the hill ... "

This historic 15th Century Country Inn has many of its fascinating original features with open fire places and arched doorways. Nestled at the foot of Somerset's Iron age Ham Hill.

Refresh your spirit in the Fleur de Lis, a medieval monks sleeping house nestling in the heart of Somerset. The Fleur de Lis retains many old world features including in its grounds one of only five remaining courts in Britain for the ancient game of Fives.

The house itself, built as an annexe to Stoke Sub Hamdons 11th Century Priory was reborn in the 17th Century as a bustling country inn warmed by real log fires. So it stands today enhanced by 21st Century upgrades to ensure sparkling services and standards for visitors and locals alike.

In keeping with its ale house ancestry, keg beers abound in this historic hostelry, which also boasts a good selection of fine wines and spirits.

The dining room provides a warm reception for guests who wish to escape the bar area, while an extensive menu offers the best in home made dishes from local produce, including when available, local game.
